What happens when we just swallow fear and go for something?
In our case yesterday, Kal made new friends. He was wanting to play basketball with some neighborhood boys that he knew from school, but was afraid they wouldn't let him play and wouldn't like him.
We asked the boys, they said yes, and Kal had a grand afternoon.
He thanked me later for helping him through the fear of asking those boys to play.
What was the worst that could have happened?
They could have said no. They could have made fun of him. Honestly, I had a moment of wondering how I would react if they made fun of him, but decided to cross that bridge if it came, which it didn't.
More often than not, good things happen when we just swallow fear and go for something we want.
What's the worst that can happen?
